Plain terms for a tool that runs on your Mac.
The terms 1VMTool is licensed under: what a Free copy and a Pro licence each allow, what you are responsible for supplying, and the limits of a tool that runs entirely on your own machine.
The licence
StoicSoft grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use 1VMTool on Macs you own or control. A Free copy may be used indefinitely, including commercially, within its caps. A Pro licence lifts those caps on the number of Macs you bought it for — one, three or five — and a seat may be released from one Mac and activated on another.
You may not redistribute the application, resell licence keys, or attempt to defeat the licence check. Everything else — using it at work, automating it, driving it from an agent, building on the CLI — is expected.
Pro, and what "twelve months of updates" means
Pro is a single payment, not a subscription. It carries twelve months of updates from the date of purchase, and every build released inside that window remains licensed for good. When the window closes, the app keeps running at the last version it was entitled to; it does not revert to Free and it does not stop. Checkout, invoicing, VAT and refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. The pricing page states the caps.
What you supply
1VMTool creates and runs virtual machines. It does not supply the things you run in them. Operating system images, installation media, product keys and any software inside a guest are yours to obtain and to license — including, specifically, Windows and macOS guests, which are governed by Microsoft's and Apple's terms respectively. Running a macOS guest is subject to Apple's own limits on virtualizing macOS.
What the app does not promise
1VMTool is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Virtualization interacts with firmware, drivers and guest operating systems we do not control, and some paths are explicitly experimental — Windows on the first-party engine is labelled as such in the app and on the engine page. Snapshots and archives are a convenience, not a backup strategy: keep your own backups of anything you cannot lose.
To the extent permitted by law, StoicSoft is not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the software, and total liability is limited to what you paid for it.

Changes
These terms may change as the product does. The date above moves when they do, and material changes are noted in the changelog. Continuing to use the software after a change accepts it.
